Ann C. Carter's Obituary
Ann Elizabeth Thompson Cherry Carter known by her family as "Liz" was born April 26,1956 to the late King and Anna "Bell "Thompson in Hemingway, South Carolina. She departed this life on December 24th, 2023.
Ann attended and graduated Hemingway High School where she later enrolled into Barber Scotia-College Concord, North Carolina. She was a double major and obtained her Degree in Biology and Business. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and recently retired from the Georgia Department of Human Resources.
Ann enjoyed solitude. She is a devout Christian who loved reading her bible, talking about God, volunteering at her church, taking walks, watching football with her son and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents King and Anna "Bell" Thompson; two sisters, Shirley and Gwendolyn; three brothers Bobby, Willie and Roy.
Ann leaves her precious memories to her loving son Charles Cherry Jr. (Atlanta, GA), and her loving daughter Tattianna Thompson-Hogg (Charlotte, NC), six siblings Mary McKnight (Bronx, NY ) Mark Thompson (Columbia, SC) Deborah Thompson (Columbia, SC), and Denear Thompson (Florence, SC). A special sister and relationship Carol Brown (Albert) Brown (Columbia, SC), four grandkids Kevin Hogg Jr. (Charlotte, NC) Rylie Hogg (Charlotte, NC), Ryland Hogg (Charlotte, NC),and Kievan Hogg (Charlotte, NC) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who love and will miss her dearly.
