Anita Stephens' Obituary
Anita Black Stephens of Lithia Springs, born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 29,1908, daughter of James and Elizabeth Black died September 24, 2010. A 1928 graduate of Pensacola High School, she attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. She married Pierce Burton Stephens, Jr. in 1936. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, china painting and her family. Survivors include two daughters, Mort and Anne Kay of Gaithersburg, MD, Richard and Carol Duffey of Canton, GA, three grandsons, Burt Jackson and Lori of Cartersville, GA, Andy Jackson and Laura of White, GA, Jonathan Kay and Blake of Austin, TX, three great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, nieces and nephews.granddaughters, two great-grandsons, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 7 PM. Service will be held at Davis Struempf Chapel at 11:00 am on Monday, September 27, 2010 with Rev. Billy Edmondson officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Baptist Cemetery.
