Alvin Dupree's Obituary
Dupree, Mr. Alvin D. Dupree, age 85, of Powder Springs, died Saturday, July 25, 2009. He was a WWII Army Veteran, past commander of American Legion Post 131, and was retired from Overnite Transportation. His favorite past time and love was the Atlanta Braves. Preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Louise Hawks Dupree; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and David Connally; sons and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Lora Dupree and Anthony Dupree; brothers and sister-in-law Paul Dupree and Alvin and Martha Hawks; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 PM, at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Marvin Frady officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
