Alice Bealene Osborne's Obituary
Alice Bealene Osborne, age 72, of Mableton passed away June 19, 2021. Alice was born to John Lawton and Mabel Ozell Douglas in Atlanta, GA. She spent a majority of her childhood in Mableton and attended South Cobb High School. Alice was a long-time member of Popular Springs Baptist Church in Lithia Springs, and was currently attending Faith Baptist Temple in Powder Springs.
Alice loved growing flowers and singing, and was well-known as a wonderful cook (everyone especially loved her broccoli casseroles and coconut cake!). She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings; Glenda Butler, Judy Churchill, Joe Douglas, Jim Douglas, and Johnny Douglas. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James M. Osborne; children, Amber (husband, James) Gaskin of Douglasville, Michael (partner, David Johnson) Osborne of Tucker, and John Opie Osborne of Mableton; sister, Darlene (husband, Dana) Jones of Dallas; grandchildren, Tyler, Ashlyn, and Megan; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Villa Rica.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
