Dear Emma and family,
We are so sad to here of Alice's passing. She was a very kind and caring woman and a dear friend to so many.
Alice's generous dedication of her time and talents as a member of the steering committee for the C. Freeman Poole Senior Center will always be remembered. Countless seniors and staff have, are and will continue to enjoy the benefits made possible by all of Alice's efforts.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you especially at this time.

Emma Alice, I have thought about you so much since hearing of your Mom passing away. I actually keep thinking about your Mother, although I had not seen her in a good while. I just keep thinking what a great woman she was, a strong but tender and sweet woman, someone I can say I truly admired for all she was. I am sure you are just like her. Wow, makes me want to have a get together of just "Austell neighborhood folks", all those we went to school with in the early years. God bless you at this hard time, take care. Love, Robin Alexander Capps
Dear Emma,
I have just now seen that your beloved mom passed away, and I am in shock. She and your dad were such good friends of my parents (The Dillinghams) when they ran the cleaners in Austell. Mother would always say what a wonderful woman your mom was. I would see your mom a lot at Davis Struempf, as I worked there for 7 years. She always came in and we would talk about her trips that she had been on or where she was off to next - she loved everyone. She also told me that your daughter was into horses and asked me a lot of things - my husband and I had horses for over 20 years, so I was happy to tell he anything I could answer. This is so sad to hear, but I know that Miss Alice will certainly be at a higher calling now. She was the light of Austell and
a Treasure to know - I will miss her deeply. Mother also sends her love and prayers.
Love you,
Phyllis Dillingham Price
Emma, it seems that everyone I've spoken to in the last couple of days repeats that Alice knew everything that was going on in Austell....... not in a "gossipy" way, but in a concerned "what can I do" way. She will be greatly missed by so many people. Know that you and your family will be in my prayers as you go through this very difficult time.
Love,
Linda Roberts

My heart is broken over the loss of such a special and dear friend. We at the Austell Post Office called her our den Mother. She took care of us, bringing us flowers from her yard, snacks, "my diet cokes":-) She always remembered our Birthdays, we got card for Valentines, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and whenever. She would call to check on me if I was out sick, or the weather was bad to make sure I got home ok. She was the only non Postal person at my retirement supper, because she was such an important part of my life. She was my other Mother, and I will miss and love her so much. My love and prayers are with Emma, and her 3 precious granddaughters, who she loved so much. Rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Love you so, Vickie Jenkins
Alice was the "angel"of Austell and the church. She always put others first and was the perfect example of what God calls us to do. She took care of all her friends and everyone in need, always with a smile on her beautiful face. We are blessed to have been a part of her life and have the privilege of knowing her.
