Alex DiVita's Obituary
Alex DiVita of Marietta, Ga, passed away October 24, 2007, at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elisabeth Anne DiVita in 2005. Alex is survived by daughters, Sandra Watson (Glynn), Diane Frazier (Daniel), Barbara Duttenhaver, and son, David DiVita (Mariana); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In 1994, Alex and Betty moved from Doraville, Ga to Blairsville, Ga, where the became active members at the First United Methodist Church of Union County. Alex was a U.S. Army veteran having served during WWII in the 44th Infantry Division in the European theatre. He was active in the North Georgia Honor Guard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars while living in Blairsville. Alex moved to Marietta in 2006 where he made his home at Spring Mountain Assisted Living.
