Mr. W. Harris Farmer, age 94 of Austell, passed away November 21, 2011. Harris served his country in World War II. Then, in the early 1950s, he was one of the founders of Austell Christian Church. He later helped to found the Swee Read Obituary
i worked with Harris for many years at the old big star store in austell, from 1966 until around 1979 . he was truly one of the finest men i have ever known. always easy going and very personable. i learned a lot working with him in the produce dept. that was his favorite dept. to work in. i will always remember him fondly and was so sad to hear of his passing. He is now with Gail in heaven and i hope that when my time comes, i will see him again there !

Ive lived up the street from the Farmers all my life and was lucky to get to know them both well..Mr Farmer was a great man and enjoyed talking to him .He will be missed alot by me and my mom in this neighborhood##imported-begin##Will Dean##imported-end##

You were always a perfect example for others and your values that you raised your children with have been transferred down through the generations. We have lost one of the finest men I have ever known. Harris Farmer was my father-in-law and he gave to me the hand of his lovely daughter Gayle in marriage back in 1974.
