My family purchased Mrs. Moreland's home. We looked at over 100 homes but when we stepped foot into her home we knew that it was the place for our family. We prayed hard that the home would be ours. We could feel the love in that home and knew that the previous owners had to be special people.
The day of signing we had the opportunity to meet Cheryl and David and learn all about the history of the home. We we were in awe of how blessed and honored we were to receive such a gift.
After moving in, our neighbors spoke highly of Mrs. Moreland. They spoke about how beautiful of a person she was. They spoke about her love for people. They spoke about her love for God.
I prayed that one day I would have the opportunity to meet this amazing woman. The Lord granted my request. Cheryl drove her by the house one day. I have never ran that fast in my life. It seemed like Mrs. Moreland jumped out of the car to meet me just as fast as I ran out the door.
We hugged and cried. She kissed my hand and my cheek. It was such a beautiful moment. She embodied everything that people said about her and then some.
David and Cheryl, thank you for affording us the opportunity to meet Mrs. Moreland and allowing us to share in her life. We are praying for your family.
Mrs. Moreland was a fine lady, I have known her as long as I can remember. I used to go to Stephens Lumber company with my grandad where Winfred worked. I lived around the block from her for over 30 years, she used to leave sweet cards in our mailbox every so often. I can’t attend her service because I am officiating a funeral tomorrow at 1:00
So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Moreland was one of the sweetest women I knew.
I will always remember the "little notes" and I do mean little. Little slips of paper and such sweet, thoughtful words written to the recipient or a clipping from the paper that she thought I would be interested in. I wish I had saved some. And she continued asking about my girls even though it had been years since they lived at home. Loved Frances very much. Joyce Jackson
I have to say that Mrs. Moreland and the entire family was a big part of my life in my younger years. This family made an impact on my life. Mrs. Moreland was an absolute Angel and so very sweet. I loved spending time with Cheryl at her house growing up. I always felt welcome and like a part of the family. Such wonderful memories. Thank you Frances and all the Moreland’s for making such good memories and showing love to me that I will never forget. Besides spending time at the Moreland home, I will always remember the times I spent at the Austell First Baptist Church and all the activities there they had for the youth. Cheryl and I spent a lot of time together and I love this family. Rest In Peach sweet lady….May God be with the family during this time. I am so sorry for your loss….
Such precious and meaningful memories of dear Francis, beginning with Sunday School and Bible School at Austell First Baptist. She was so sweet and loving and it sure meant a lot to my sister and I who were both kind of shy when we were young. She stayed the same way all through her life and was just as loving to us all, even as she saw us become adults. It is people like this that you never forget for the rest of your life and what their loving kindness meant to you.
