Ahh, It's been a years since her passing, but I had Mrs. Wheeler in 7th grade at Floyd Middle School too. I looked her just today through the yearbook (1985). I have been a science teacher of 7th grade kids for 26 years now. She was a big part of that making. I was a teacher pet, but I was still scared to death of her. :))) She ran a tight ship, and I'll always fondly remember her. Blessing to the kids that may read this about our mama. She loved her work and her students, and I loved her. She was a tough lady lady, and it made us better for having been under her care.

Jeannette was one of my best friends during our high school years! She has always had a place in my heart although we have been miles apart since then. My family did not have a car but she taught me to drive. We spent many hours at the old airport and she had lots of patience with me!!!!!!!!! She took us to many school activities and gave so much of herself to others. She was a true friend!

Jeanette was a dear friend of mine during my high school years. We spent many afternoons during the summer playing canasta and going swimming. We also went to many Sunday afternoon movies together as well as many football games. She was always fun to be around and enjoyed having fun. I always enjoyed seeing her at our class reunions. I will miss seeing her at these class reunions.

Mrs. Wheeler was my Science teacher in 7th Grade at Floyd Middle School and it was a honor being in her class. So sad of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Heaven is getting a angel in Mrs. Wheeler. You'll be truly missed!

I have known Jeannette since early childhood. We took dancing classes from Madge Bland in Vidalia. At our recital, we were side by side doing a song line about the waves rolling in and sink or swim, I thought she was doing it wrong and she bopped me. Got the biggest laugh.
Years later, I ran into Jeannette at the old Rich's store in Smyrna. She was a great person.
