I met "Lt" Whitlow when I first started at MPD in 1976. He was always so nice to me and always had a smile on his face. When the office was very busy, he sometimes shared his dinner (that his wife Carolyn would bring to him) with me, in case I did not get to go out to eat. I will never forget the quiche and I still make that to this day. After he retired, we always sent each other birthday cards. When we'd talk on the phone, we'd talk about the "old building on Lawrence St" and the incidents that happened there. He always had my back on things and I do appreciate his kindness. I will miss talking to him but he will always live on in my heart and memories. At the retirement luncheon that I attended, he asked to look at my photo albums of MPD folks. He said it brought back so many memories and I'm glad I was able to brighten his day, like he always brightened mine. He will be missed so much. Thinking of him and his family. Iris Bennett .. or as he sometimes called me "Peggy".............
