Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth Wilson, age 87 of Austell, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009. She was a founding member of South Cobb Baptist Church; retired from Grady Hospital after 34 years; and was a Cobb County School Crossing Guard. S Read Obituary
My father and Pearl knew each other for many years. Beside being church members together, they were also best friends. Daddy always had to pick at you. He truely loved you. Give daddy and mother a big hug from me. My prayers are with your family.

I'll miss you Aunt Pearl, She was always so sweet to me whenever I would get to see her, which was not as often as I should of. I remember when Aunt Pearl and Grandpa James came to see me when I had my son Freddie. They were so excited. The last time I saw Aunt Pearl is when my Grandma Susie Passed away, She was waiting for me at the Funeral Home, when I came through the doors Grandpa James said "Pearl there is Ruth I told you she would be here" she just hugged me, and she stood next to me during the Funeral. After that Aunt Pearl sent me and my family a christmas card every year. I love you and miss you so much, I know that you will be waiting for me in heaven just like you were at the funeral home that very sad day the last time I seen you. I have a lot of childhood memories of Aunt Pearl that I will always cherish. Also, she stood in my mothers place in my wedding. Aunt Pearl, has just gone away for a while and we will see her again if you have been save.

Pearl was/is a unique jewel. She loved God and served Him with all her heart. She will be forever remembered. She became a Mother to me when she married my Dad. Almost immediately our hearts met, our love was sure. We comforted , understood, and loved eachother. I miss her so deeply. But for her no more sorrow, or pain, and someday DEATH will be destroyed.

Aunt Pearl was an inspiration to me. I have a lot of childhood memories that I will always cherish. Although the years seemed to draw us apart, (mainly because of our busy lives) it was always great to have an occasion to be around her. We will miss her very much.
