Rev. Larry Camp, age 72, of Austell passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2016. Larry was a member of Willingham Drive Baptist Church in East Point and he retired as the Baptist Minister at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta. Read Obituary
My Dad and Uncle Larry are the best two men I have ever had the honor of knowing. He married me the first time and preached both my Mother and Fathers funeral. Just remember its not over its only getting started. Its what he worked his whole life for. Enjoy your rewards in Gods house. Tell Mom and Dad I said hello and I love them. I grew up at Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Some of my best memories are from that church. I am sadden to hear about his passing but I am certain that he is in All Mighty God's house!!! He said it would be a glorious day! He said that a lot actually. I was saved in that church. I received the best gift of all! His life was impressionable upon mine and I will forever be grateful. I love you Larry and until we meet again!
I don’t even know where to begin to say how special this Man & his family are to me and my family. There were always Sunday mornings and even sitting down to dinner any night of the week. We were invited into their lives and their home with open arms.
I will never forget things like the all night “Rock-a-Thon” in his home to raise money for youth outings and him encouraging us to play instruments and sing in church. Also the time I got in trouble for playing “Another one bites the dust” on the bass because Travis had taught me how. (no, not during service ) And the time we all got preached to for sitting to close in church. “Day light”, He wanted to be able to look out and see day light on the pews between us. If you were a teenager at Sunny Side Baptist Church you know what I am talking about.
From the young girl I was then to the woman I am today, you have forever left an impression in my heart and my soul and I thank you. Even though you will be missed, go rest high Brother Larry.
We never did see you without a smile, Always a kind word for everyone. Heaven hs truly received a true Angel. My sincere condolences to Carol and the family Rest In Peace Mr. Camp .Say ' Hello ' to everyone already there..We shall meet again .<3
I can remember as a young teenager visiting the Camp family in cabbage town. And on them Sundays going to hear Mr. Larry Preach. Man could he preach. I have grown to know the family. And from the ripe old age of 15 years old. Is when I first meet them. And now 39 years old. I still love them. Rev Larry has gave me some good preaching when I needed it. Not a talking to. But some good old preaching. Rev. Larry Camp you will be missed dearly sir. You have always made me feel like part of your family. Thanks for the words of wisdom. And the love you shared. We will see you again.

We're praying for God's blessings for Carol and the whole family. We grew up together as cousins and "cousins-in-law" and had a lot of good times and good memories together. Larry will be missed by us and everyone whose life he touched.

Throughout my memories growing up, Larry has always been steadfast in the Lord and he will always be an inspiration to me to continue being steadfast and shareing God's word to others!
