It started in Cleveland, when we were fourteen, and spanned three cities, including San Francisco and Los Angeles, over seven decades. People identified us as a pair, homies, a two-man posse. We ran with each other, with complete unknowns and with the very famous, mostly in Hollywood. It was a life most people can scarcely imagine. We'll do it again. Meanwhile, RIP, my lifelong friend.
