Vanessa Rochelle Reed, of Austell, Georgia, born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 3, 1958, daughter of Earnest and Lorraine Fearce. She was a faithful servant to the Lord, having graduated in 2008 from the Faith School of Ministry, and continued to serve the Lord until that fateful day that Jesus called her home. At “Sunrise on Sunday”, October 11, 2020, the “Gates of Heaven” opened to receive our Sister Vanessa. And with a look of peace on her face, she rested in Jesus’s everlasting arms. To those I love and those who loved me, I am gone. “Release me” …let me go…you mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears. “Be thankful for our beautiful years.” So, grieve a while for me, if you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust in our Lord and Savior. It’s only for a time that we must be apart. So, bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away. And then when you must come this way. I’ll meet you at the “Gate” and we will sing “Amazing Grace” unto Our Lord together with those who have gone before. My husband, Dennis Dayton Reed, Sr.; my sister, Dianna Renna Jackson; grandparents, John Henry and Rosie Mae Richey; and great-great-grandparent, Marshall F. Wadley. And to my surviving family, I give you my love. To my sons, Michael Travis of Las Vegas and Dennis Dayton Reed, Jr. of Austell, follow the Lord in all your quests and lean not unto thine own understanding and you will be blessed. To my sisters, Sandra Richey of Austell, Vivian Barree of Jonesboro, Paula Fearce of San Diego, Evola Fearce of Texas, and Carla Fearce of Texas; and to my dear brother, Joseph D. Fearce (Karen) of San Diego; special friends of the family, Rita Foster (Marvin) of San Diego; and a host of nieces and nephews, I thank you for the love that each of you have given to me in happiness. And to Abaree Rayfield of Ohio, no words could ever thank you enough for standing with me to the end. And I give a “thumbs up” to my sister. We cried together and prayed together through the raging storm and came out on the other side where God’s peace and grace abounded more. Our family is so thankful for your calls, your prayers, and kindness. So, as we remember our Sister, Vanessa, in love and happiness, we know she fought a good fight and we know she finished the course, we know she kept the faith and passed on to “Heaven” with Grace.
