Robert Paul Martine died on January 12, 2020. He was 63. Bob is survived by his wife, Ronny Martine, and their daughter, Maura Martine. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Beth Martine Scheiner; his brother, William Martine (Virginia); his sister-in-law, Rema Webb; nephews Cayell Webb and Nick Martine (Mona); nieces Ayanna Webb, Carolyn Gilstrap, Katharine Martine-McEvoy, Lori Abbot and his cousins, Mary Ellen and John Evancho (Laura), and by numerous other relatives and friends, including his best friend David Marmins (Amanda), “adopted” niece and nephews, Tatum Marmins, Ben Anderson, Cayde Green, and Alec Marmins. He is also survived by his beloved German Shepherd, Arthur. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Martine, his parents, Leonard and Irene Martine, his brother, Lenny Martine, and his sister, Lois Anne Martine. Bob was born on April 11, 1956 in Tampa, Fl. Bob graduated from Norwin High School in 1975. Bob was a 4-year starting lineman on the football team and the President of the Lettermen’s Club. Bob was an officer in the United States Army and served in the infantry. He worked in sales in the steel and natural stone industries. Bob was a passionate Steelers fan, historian, Democrat, golfer, gardener, environmentalist, and gold prospector. Bob and Ronny settled in Penn Hills, PA in 1981, where they lived until 2003, when they moved to Austell, GA. Bob’s funeral is on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4300 King Springs Road SE, Smyrna, GA 3082. Friends and family will gather afterward at the home of David and Amanda Marmins, 579 Lakeview Terrace SE, Mableton, GA 30126.
