Raymond Haskell Quigley, age 86 of Powder Springs passed away November 30, 2019 following a three-year battle with Esophageal Cancer. He was preceded in death by his son, Van H. Quigley; brothers, Donald L Quigley and Richard Quigley. Raymond retired from American Security Insurance Company after 35 years. He was a member of Sylvan Hills Baptist Church for 65 years and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Quigley; daughter, Brenda Damerow (Peter); son, Wayne A. Quigley (Melinda); daughter-in-law, Julia Weaver Quigley; grandchildren, Alison Fuqua (Ben) of Douglasville; Samantha Shipp (Bo) of Douglasville; Matthew Quigley of Lexington, KY; Nicholas Quigley (Kelsey) of Ridgecrest, CA; Katherine Quigley of Atlanta; Christina Tankersley (Lake) of Atlanta; Alan Quigley of Atlanta; MaryCamille Quigley of Atlanta; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, James H. Quigley (Barbara); sister, Laurel Holder (Clark). A Memorial Service will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Raymond’s name to The Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
