Kelson Daniel Loveland - Bub, Bubba, Buddy, Slick, Kels, K-Man, Super K - earned his wings on May 5, 2020. He was surrounded by those who loved him most, comfortable in his bed. Born on July 20, 2011, in Tallahassee, Florida, with the tiniest cry, Kelson's life was nothing short of remarkable. Defying odds from the moment he arrived, he wrote his own rules, battled fearlessly and without ceasing, and leaves a legacy of strength and resilience that is unmatched. Without a word, Kelson spoke volumes. His personality was bigger than life, his smile and laughter truly contagious, and his ever-famous side-eye will be remembered fondly - and with a little chuckle - by all who were lucky enough to have experienced it. Kelson loved his Daddy with a big, big love. No one could make him smile bigger or laugh harder. No one had better games or sang better songs, and when waters got rough, if Daddy couldn't fix it, there was certain trouble ahead. Kelson's heart for his big sister, Emma Sue, beat a special rhythm...and she had a bag of tricks for her brother that was unrivaled. Often, the only medicine for what ailed him was her jazzy rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle", and the ever hilarious "Good job!" was always guaranteed to elicit the giggles. Kelson filled his Momma's heart with a stroke of his hand on her cheek and his signature kiss. He endured her singing as long as she sang the right songs, and especially favored her original tunes about clean teeth and bums. Kelson loved music, counting, splashing in the tub, Christmas lights, swinging, cold weather, Hallmark movies, and his bedtime monkey. He adored his Mema's curls, Big Dad's rendition of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and playing "So Strong" with anyone who was willing to play it right. He treasured his toys, especially his oldest friend, Bumbles, Three Legs, and his beloved Piano. Kelson officially welcomed Jesus into his heart earlier this year, but anyone who knew him knew that Jesus reigned there from his first breath. He emanated the love of Jesus, and even through the most difficult moments of his young life - and there were many - the Holy Spirit shined through him, brought strength and grace to all who loved him, and will live on in the hearts of so many. Kelson is survived by his parents, Andy and Becky Loveland; sister, Emma Sue Loveland; paternal grandparents, Danny and Cindy Loveland; paternal great-grandmother, Rosemary Beaumont; paternal uncle, David (Amber) Loveland; paternal aunt, Holly (John) Boswell; maternal great-uncle and aunt, Tom and Kaye Kremer; maternal aunts, Melissa (Mike) Traina, Lauren (Eric) Stavenger, and Kelsie (David) Carnes; maternal uncles, Bryan McKay, Nick (Ashley) Kremer, Michael Kremer, and Jason (Liz) Kremer; cousins Abigail, Ainsley, Rachel, Caleigh, Jaxson, Eve, Jane and Alizabeth; numerous great aunts and uncles, second cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Susan Kremer; paternal great-grandfather, Jack Beaumont; and paternal great-grandparents, Nelson Loveland and Jane Loveland. Kelson's departure for Heaven leaves a gaping hole here on Earth, a reminder forever of the mark he left upon us all. We are changed for the better, stronger and wiser and kinder because of him. We will miss his laughter, his squeals, his side-eye. We will miss the happy sound of his friends singing with him each day. We will miss the tender way he communicated his love for us, in a way only he could. And we will rejoice in his whole, healed, healthy body, that is running and jumping and singing and playing with all of the joy we always dreamed for him. And we will look forward to the day when he will hug us and laugh with us and the day we will hear his precious voice say "I love you, Dad. I love you, Emma Sue. I love you, Mommy." Rest well, sweet baby. You were loved beyond words. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kelly's House, a rescue home in Guatemala for children with special needs...Kelly's House was built in memory of Kelly Loveland Gourley, one of Kelson's beloved namesakes. https://worldhelp.net/gift/kellyshouse/ A memorial service honoring Kelson’s extraordinary life will be held when Covid-19 restrictions allow.
