I grew up with Bethany in Carmel, IN, and I remember Mr. Swain fondly. I knew nothing of politics at the time, so his collection of elephants were just cute to me then. Nowadays I appreciate his involvement in local government, and I'm glad he was available to my parents for offering his perspective. He was always kind and supportive of the many activities Bethany had growing up. He was a wonderful Dad, and I'm grateful for his presence in my life. - Lara Coutinho-Dean.
