Kaitlyn Marie Sutherland, age 28, passed away March 3, 2022. Kaitlyn was raised in Kennesaw and graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School, Class of 2011. She went on to graduate from Kennesaw State University with her Bachelors in Marketing, Class of 2016. Kaitlyn was a self-described “tomboy” who loved her car, going shooting, and watching sports (she was die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan). Her happy place was going to Lake Allatoona. She was beloved daughter, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. Kaitlyn was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas Murphy and Robert Gayton. She is survived by her parents, Stephen and Jennifer Sutherland of White; brother, Tyler Sutherland of White; nana, Mary Murphy; grandma, Sandra Gayton; and grandpa, Robert Sutherland (wife, Linda); beloved dog, Dallas; and many beloved extended family members. A Service of Celebration honoring Kaitlyn’s life will be held on Sunday, March 20th, 12:00PM at Legacy Park Clubhouse, 4201 Legacy Park Circle, Kennesaw, GA 30144 In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Kaitlyn’s name be made to the Lake Allatoona Association, who is responsible for keeping the lake beautiful, https://www.lakeallatoonaassoc.com/join.
