I was sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. We had not seen each other in a lot of years and I was hoping to see him sometime soon. Jerry was like a brother to me from the time I met him until he moved away from Paducah. We stayed all night with each other all the time and I have many memories of our childhood together. I feel as if a part of me has passed also. Look to God for Grace to help you through this time of loss. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

My heart was broken to hear of Jerry's passing when I returned to the hospital today. Barbara, you are both in my heart and prayers, and I am so sorry for your loss. Your love for each other was so wonderful, and I will always remember the way you both fell asleep holding hands. He was one of those special patients I will carry in my heart forever.
