My family is honored to have known such a kind and thoughtful man as Gene. So thankful for the beautiful crosses he made for me, my brother and my mom, Evelyn Spencer. I have always kept it in my kitchen and every day when I see it, I say a prayer for Gene and his family. My Mom and Dad loved the time they got to spend with Gene. He was, “one of the good guys.” Praying for his sweet family.
Gene was a dear friend and wonderful neighbor. He lived by the golden rule and was a generous spirit, willingly sharing his expertise. We often talked about farming and gardening and the Braves - all favorite topics of his and mine. I cherish our times and conversations. He will be missed more than words can express.
