Sionnie Velarde (Planas) Gernaat of Mableton, Georgia passed away peacefully on June 9th, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She was born in Manila, Philippines on August 15, 1951 to Johnny Gu Read Obituary
I am able to get this photo from our family album. The goegeous lady in red, my Aunt is. This was taken the day she opened her dress shop here in the Philippines. Her siblings were there to cheer for her that day.
During our sister Sionne’s illness we prayed for her to be at peace and have strength to endure. In our prayers we remembered her kindness at our STWA meetings and events. Our special Saint Thomas the Apostle church outings Sionnie and John brought smiles to our faces when they were color coordinated. Sionnie, we miss you and will be close in our prayers as you travel to your spiritual journey. Your STWA sisters in Christ.
