I will miss Tommy and his youthful exuberance. We always had a good time with Tommy and I always could depend on him when needed. Till next campfire pard...........##imported-begin##Tim Burden##imported-end##
Tom, you were such a great sport, no matter how many times I joked with you, all you did was laugh with me. Thanks for all the good times we had together opening Christmas presents, and the game of Golf will never be the same, thanks for always letting me win.##imported-begin##Mark Bennett##imported-end##
Tommy, I never got the chance to know you as well as most of your other brothers who have signed this book. I never thanked you properly for going out of your way and for taking the time to make me feel as welcome as you did and like an old friend of many years when I was new to reenacting. I will always remember you with fondness and know that you were the cream of our crop.
Here's to you....glimmer, glimmer.##imported-begin##Mike Reuter##imported-end##
Dear Varner Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Tommy could always bring a laugh around the campfire and everyone will miss him. I will keep him in my prayers.##imported-begin##Benjamin Bradshaw##imported-end##
My precious brother...I will miss your smile. You were the Joy in our family. Eddie Lane was never the same after the "Varner kids" moved in. You left an indellible mark on many, but especially
"Miss Rachel". You taught her so much about a secret life shared by few...Civil War Reenactors. You ARE her hero. Our loss is truly Heaven's gain. I love you.

My first question when I arrived at a reenactment was, wheres Varner? I don't have to ask anymore, I know you are with Jesus,Lee Jackson and our other real heros. My finest memory is when you, me and Bull stood togeather in the room where Jackson's soul departed this earth. Through you I got to know your wonderful mother and precious niece, little Rachel. I was always touched watching how well you looked after her at the reenactments. I'll miss you my friend.##imported-begin##Joe Carver##imported-end##
