To Sister Hazel Crawford and the entire family of Sister Evelyn Canzius,
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.
This is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long;
this is my story, this is my song,
praising my Savior all the day long.
I was very sorry to hear of your mother’s death. I know that nothing can ever prepare us for the loss of a loved one, especially a mother.
Every now and then you will feel her presence in a familiar, yet comforting way. Maybe something she would've said or you'll see something you know she would've enjoyed... and you'll feel as if she knows you're thinking of her, although you can't see her, It's these moments which will bring you comfort along with the pain and you will truly know that LOVE never really goes away. The Road ahead may seem long... But let faith take you by the hand and guide you through these difficult times.
Please don't be upset that she is out of sight. Remember that she is with you every morning, noon and night, That day she had to leave you, when her life on earth was through, God picked her up and hugged her and said, "Welcome Home Sister Evelyn Canzius, It’s Your Time, Come On Home".
Prayerfully,
Sister Gwen Whitehead
