We were neighbors 55 years and I remember how much Dot loved the simple things of life. She cultivated her flower garden until she no longer could stand. In her earlier years she was always busy canning or freezing fresh vegetables in the summertime. She was a woman of few words and never idle. Although she was small in stature, she accomplished so much while making a home for her family who were her most treasured possession.
