Preceded in death by brother, George Truett, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Edwards and Barbara Jean Truett; son James Walter Owens, III; and father, James Owens, Sr..He is survived by sons, Jamey Owens of Austell and Justin Owens of Macon; daughters, Elizabeth Owens of Alabama and Andrea Hayes of Warner Robins; mother, Mary Hood of Macon; ten grandchildren; and three sisters, Sheryl Groover of Macon, Joyce Meier of Gordon, and Sue Hagler of Dawsonville. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, Austell.
