He was 94, and was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Alice Waldrop Taylor. Mr Taylor was a U.S. Navy Veteran of 20 years, serving in WWII, Korea and as a recruiter. He was a lifelong Presbyterian having served as Elder and Deacon in several churches and was a member of Austell Presbyterian Church. Survived by daughters Henri Savage ( Lanier ), Martinez; Kitty Smith (Calvin), Monroe; Judy Griffin (Mike) , Adairsville; grandchildren Robert (Courtney) Savage, Blythewood, SC; Beth Savage (Dave Hageman), Lynchburg, VA; Barry Palmer (Nancy) , Jacksonville, FL; Adam Palmer (Amanda), Baltimore, MD; Michael Smith (Amy), Dacula; Dana White (Kevin), Douglasville; Missy Black (Justin), Acworth; 11 great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Buena Taylor,Carroll County. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2:00 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, Rev. David Pearce officiating with interment in Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery.
